At our (self)-portrait photo studio, we have fine tuned the self-portrait experience to create a space for creativity, self-expression, and simply fun, no strings or worries attached.

Your are welcomed to your private self-portrait studio space. Here you will find:

  • The camera is hidden behind a large mirror - you can watch yourself live as you take photos, pose, and find your angles

  • Just click the button on the control to take a photo, as many as you like. Catch yourself in motion or simply pose and snap!

  • Chairs, accessories, and a fan (for that hair flow!). Pick and choose any you like throughout the session and experiment.

  • Studio tablet comes equiped with Spotify (find your favorite playlists to play) as well as inspirational photos to try out something new.

Our (self)-portrait photography attendant instructs you on the process and you get you set up for a completely private photo studio time.

  • You are shown a simple breakdown on how to best take your photos and you keep the tablet with a posing/inspiration photos to reference.

  • Your self-portrait session time varies based on your selection, but each option gives you enough time to experiment with a variety of ideas and looks. Art Portrait Room studio space is completely private and you have a personal hanger for your collection of looks as well as a table for any props. Have fun!

  • With a 60 minutes self-portrait session, you have a choice of a second background and if you feel you have used the first background to its full potential, let your attendant know and they will set up a second one of your choice.

  • All of your photos will be available for download in large resolution and in two versions: colored and B&W

  • Additional printing services are available with our local printing partners - will send you a link for easy ordering.

  • For any pixel perfect retouching services, we provide references to great industry experienced editors.

After the session, you will receive all of your captured photos within 24 hours.

 FAQs

  • You can choose between 30 and 60 minutes options. 30 minute session is $95 (+HST). 60 minute session is $190 (+HST). You can book a few slots in raw if you have a bigger group and want to have sessions next to each other.

  • Here’s what’s included in your experience with Art Portrait Room: the most artistic self-portrait studio in Toronto:

    • Private Photo Studio Space: You’ll enjoy a 30-minute, or 60-minute photo shoot session with a selected background (choose from our variety of options during booking).

    • Your Artistic Portraits: In our studio, it’s just you, the camera remote, and a large mirror—allowing you to create artistic, unique self-portraits. You’re in control, and we provide everything you need to capture the perfect shot.

    What’s Not Included

    • Hair & Makeup Services: Please come camera-ready

    • Outfits: Bring your best wardrobe to create the perfect self-portrait look.

  • You may bring up to 3 people with you (4 people in total) for a fun self-portrait experience together!

    You may also bring up to 2 small to medium sized pets (think no larger than a golden retriever).

  • We understand that life happens! If you need to cancel or reschedule your self-portrait photo shoot with us, here’s our easy-to-follow cancellation policy:

    • Cancellations 7 or more days before your scheduled session:
      You’ll receive a 100% refund or the option to reschedule your session (no expiry date).

    • Cancellations 3-7 days before your session:
      You’ll receive a 70% refund or the option to reschedule your session (no expiry date).

    • Cancellations less than 3 days before your session:
      We’re unable to provide a refund, but you can still reschedule (no expiry date).

    • Cancellations on the day of your session or no-show:
      Unfortunately, there is no refund available in these cases.

    To be eligible for a refund, please make sure to cancel at least 3 days before your scheduled shoot, by 5:00 PM.


  • Our self-portrait photography experience is designed for minimum of 30 minutes of time frame in mind. From our experience, it is the perfect amount of time to get adjusted to the process and start to experiment and have fun.

    If you have more than 2 people on the shoot, we would recommend you to book 60 minute session to have enough time for the group.

  • Absolutely! We recommend to bring at least a few outfit changes and props with you to allow extra room for creativity and interesting ideas in the process! A lot of the times, you start to see how things may come together after you begin the session!

  • The beauty of a self-portrait is that it is not only a private and creative experience but also that it is one of self-discovery. It is here that many of our clients get to let down their guard and see themselves with all of their perfect imperfections. And, in artistic lighting and with a good camera, you may see just how lovely your photos may look.

    • Arrive on Time: We recommend arriving 5 minutes before your scheduled self-portrait session. This ensures everything runs smoothly.

    • Late Arrivals: If you arrive late, your shoot time will be reduced. If you arrive 15 minutes after your 30-minute scheduled session time has passed, the shoot will not be possible.

    • Image Delivery: After your shoot, all your photos will be shared via a download link sent to the email you used for booking. Please download your images promptly, as the link will expire after a certain period.

    • Reserving Your Spot: Make sure to select the correct date and time during the booking process.
